The Christmas season has begun and the holiday decorating team at Lary’s Designs has been hard at work. We have been working since the day after Halloween. So let me give you a little peek of what we’ve been up to.
If you are tired of your same old Christmas tree decorations this year, it’s time for a change. How about going for all red décor this year? Red is a traditional color linked with Christmas and it’s really disheartening that it is not used to its fullest potential during the holidays.
If this vibrant color is your favorite and you wait year-round for an opportunity to use more in your home décor, then you’re going to love this post!
Our client loves it when we stylize her holiday décor with red and gold accents throughout the home. She enjoys entertaining and likes to welcome guests in a memorable southern style.
However lavish or simple your Christmas decorating may be, hopefully these ideas will help you bring the beauty of the holiday to every corner of your home.
Shapes, shades, and textures are all elements you can incorporate into your holiday décor. Bright shiny jeweled reds, flowing velvet red ribbons, and radiating reds such as these poinsettias will add depth, dimension, and interest to your holiday tree.
Even the dining room got the glorious ravishing red treatment. Red poinsettias and matte red glass balls were arranged in the client’s wire bowl. Bejeweled sprigs give the centerpiece some dimension and texture.
Cascading Russian style egg ornaments in red were suspended from the chandelier. This gave the illusion that the arrangement on the dining table was taller.
An elegant green garland was placed on top of the china hutch. The three angels along with some simple gold tassel cordage add a divine look to it .
Four darling gingerbread houses and their inhabitants who are trimmed in red reside in the kitchen for the holidays.
