If you subscribe to the notion that there’s no such thing as too many Christmas ornaments on your tree than this post is for you. Take a look at this home for the holidays. It is a house with a 12 foot tree and 4 mantels which were in need of decorating.

This Christmas tree was decked out with over 2000 Christopher Radko ornaments that the home owner has collected over the years. And while red and green hues can certainly help set the stage for a happy holiday celebration, this client decided you can still have a gorgeous display without being completely color-coordinated. This Christmas tree took over 14 hours to decorate.

After your tree, a garland may be one of the most ideal and stunning Christmas decorations you can have in your home during the holiday season. It is a mixed pine garland that will really put the final touches on your look. The all-time-easiest way to add some cheer to your home during December is to hang one of these green beauties up. The homeowner chose to have 2 of her mantels done in a traditional yet simple manner. The beautifully elegant garlands are definitely statement pieces.

Classically draped above the living room mantel, a simple garland is turned into a sparkling holiday showpiece with different colors of green, red and amber. The glass ornaments sure are eye catchers but the stars of the show are the beaded ball garlands which are draped throughout.

In the office, the mantel garland is not pine this time but Magnolia leaves adorned with burgundy and gold. The colors accentuate the rich tones and hues the office is decorated in. The key to making your holiday decorations look like a designer did it is in matching your Christmas accessories to the decor throughout the space rather than using the classic Christmas colors. To add a little bit of visual interest and flare, ornamental pheasant feathers were placed in the swag.

Looping and draping a pine garland around the banister and allowing it to cascade over the newel post adds to the dramatic effect. To add more punch to a basic style, large pinecones (you can paint the pinecones any color you like) were wired throughout which serve to bring more texture and visual weight to the swags. This garland was elevated to classy by keeping it simple and traditional. The trend now is to keep things minimalistic for an actual unique and sophisticated look.
